Scientific Calculator Pro started from a simple gap: every online scientific calculator we could find was either a bare tool with no explanation, or an article with no working tool. We built a site that does both, a real calculator plus plain answers to the questions people search for while using one.

Who This Site Is For
Students in the United States, Brazil and South Africa working through homework, exam prep or a quick calculation between classes, and anyone who wants a calculator that explains itself. The tools match what school and college courses expect: trigonometry, logarithms, exponents, fractions, scientific notation and memory keys, with a calculation history so you are not retyping numbers.
What You Will Find Here
- Free tools: the scientific calculator, a scientific notation calculator and a fraction calculator
- Guides on using a calculator, choosing a model and common calculations, each with worked examples
- Pages for people used to a specific model, such as the Casio fx-991, TI-36X Pro and Desmos
- Portuguese pages for Brazil, including the ENEM calculator rule
How We Check Our Work
Every worked example in a guide is calculated by hand before it is published. Exam and policy statements link to the official source, such as College Board, ACT, NCEES or Inep, and the page says which month it was checked. The calculator itself follows standard order-of-operations rules, and its tools are tested against known results, such as sin(30) = 0.5 in degree mode and a standard deviation of 1.414 for the data 4, 8, 6, 5, 7.
What Happens When Something Is Wrong
If a reader reports a wrong result or an out-of-date rule, we reproduce it, fix it and update the page. When we are not certain about a claim, we say so instead of guessing. Features that are not built yet are listed as planned, not implied to work.
Independence and Disclosures
This is an independent project. It is not affiliated with Casio, Texas Instruments, Sharp, Desmos or any exam board, and brand names appear only so you can compare tools. The site is free to use and may show ads through Google AdSense, as described in the privacy policy. Ads do not change what we write.
Your Privacy
The calculators run in your browser, and your calculations are not sent to our servers. You do not need an account. The privacy policy explains cookies and advertising in full.
Questions, Corrections or Bugs?
If a calculation looks wrong or something on a page is not working, use the contact page and include the exact expression you entered so it can be checked and fixed. This is an independently maintained site, so replies can take a few days.
